Staying home sick makes me do crazy things . . .(a serious question and some silliness)
So since I am still not 100% better and this cough/cold has not 100% subsided, I took the day today to try and get myself as close to comfortable enough to go back tomorrow (I was off for spring break last week.)
The coughing is not as frequent but when it happens, because it has been for like a week straight, I get a pulling on my left side of my belly from my side to my belly button.
Since I am on my feet working with kids all day, I kind of thought me having to curl up into and hold onto my belly every time I have to cough might not be such an effective way of teaching middle schoolers.
I really hope this has subsided enough by tomorrow- the coughing seems to be happening less frequently so far today.
I am not sure if I should call my OB about this- it doesn't seem serious, just uncomfortable. When I was there Thursday the pulling from my belly button to my side hadn't started yet, but when I mentioned the coughing they said that I will bruise a rib before I will hurt the baby.
My belly and left side is a little tender muscularly and the pulling only happens when I cough.
Should I call and see if they have any advice? I feel a little silly, like they really aren't going to be able to tell me much to do about it.
On a sillier note, DH called to remind me that New Kids on the Block tickets went on sale today, so since I was home, guess who will be going to the NKOTB concert 8 mos. pregnant . . . (I couldn't help myself )

I am home with you, woke up not feeling right & with a fever. Now I am much better but just thought it was better to stay home!
When I had my cold, I had a similar feeling but I was on the phone with my OB's office almost daily with new symptoms. I don't think it could hurt to ask them! I am sure it is a combo of you stretching when coughing & your little girl moving in there
feel better
