Question about BFing and sleeping through the night
DC are starting to sleep 6+ hrs at a time. I am so happy about this because I will finally get to sleep, but what do I do about the breast milk? Do I have to get up and pump or will my body adjust to this? I don't want lose my supply.

How old are they? If they are at least 2 months or so I would say your body will adjust and produce based on demand. It samazing how your body adjusts.

Up until about 8 weks, I had to get up to pump. It seemed like overnight my body just leveled out and I didn't have to anymore. It really was amazing. And I have not had any supply issues as of yet.

My LC told me if I want to cut out a pumping session to do it gradually with shorter sessons. So over a few days, 20 mins to 15 then 10 etc.

I get up to pump when he doesn't. I'm too scared to loose my supply. It took me weeks to finally get everything going well.

Lauren, I too got up to pump those first 8-9 weeks then it seemed like my supply was established & I stopped that mid--night pumping session.

I forgot to say that they are 15 weeks.
So it seems I can just let my body adjust?

If you wake up in pain, pump enough to feel comfortable. Your body will adjust over time.
May I say- you are my hero for not only BFing- but successfully BFing TWO.
