Stomach sleeping? Need quick help.
She is 5 months old and rolled from back to stomach yesterday for the first time.
She just started sleeping in her crib last week. I just went in there and she is sleeping on her stomach (I put her on her back).
Should I let her? I don't think she will be able to roll back if she wants or needs to.

Re: Stomach sleeping? Need quick help.
I rolled my daughter back for a few weeks until one day I woke her up and she was mmaaaaddd. I asked the pediatrician who said that if she is able to roll onto her belly than she is fine to stay there. If I had been able to roll her without waking I might have done it longer, but I was disrupting her sleep.

Is she able to roll back from stomach to back?
If she is then I don't think you should worry about it. Some nights she'll probably just prefer to sleep on her belly.

QUOTE]
She has rolled from stomach to back, but I don't think she gets it yet. I don't think she would know to do it if she needed to.

Re: Stomach sleeping? Need quick help.
My son will be 6 months old next week and he often rolls onto his stomach. I just go in and roll him onto his back. I heard that if they are able to roll back on their own it is ok to keep them on their stomach.

Katie hasn't fussed either. That is why I don't want to move her. Did Alyson roll on to her belly herself?

Emma rolls onto her belly. She can't roll back yet - but I don't touch her - Usually she'll wake up when she realizes she's on her belly - then I roll her over.

I'm a big fan of belly sleeping, so you'd know what I'd say.

I always move him, but he rolls back. It is actually kind of cute on his knees with but in the air and hands tucked under his belly.

she does in our bed so I leave her...in her crib I put her don that way, patted her in a slow steady motion, and walked out of the room and her eyes were still open. i also had the sound machine going
