Stony Brook maternity visiting hours
I should really know this since I'm delivering there any day now
Our friends just had a baby there...what are the visiting hours there for maternity floor?
thanks!
ETA: May as well as for myself too—I see their website says fathers can visit 10am-10pm, general hours are 2-8:30pm; when can baby’s siblings visit? Do I have to wait to have DD visit until after 2pm?

Re: Stony Brook maternity visiting hours
I just found 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm (general visiting). They still aren't allowing any children under 18 unless sibling.

DH was allowed to be there from 10 to 10 (Actually I think they can stay, but those are the hours I heard from the nurses). He didn't bring DS because my sister and his parents were watching him, DS came during regular hours.

So long as your DH gets one of the wrist bands they give you when you are delivering, he can stay overnight in your room and they won't make him leave at all. Not sure about DD.

Yes it is 2 to 8 or 8:30. Your Husband can stay overnight. They also didnt give him a problem coming in the early morning.
Oh and I had 2 children visit me ages 8 and 9. They allowed them in.

Thanks...DH probably won't stay over with me since I do have another child, but it's good to know and have the option!

Thanks! I'd really rather her come earlier in the day if that's possible....mornings are her happiest times usually Then leave for naptime.

DH didn't stay w/ me either, but he came early the next AM and they didn't enforce visiting hours with him.

They let children in besides my DD to visit us in the hospital. It seems that they are very laid back. DH came whenever he wanted and they never kicked out my mom even after visiting hours were over.
I had DS on May 25th.
