Storage HELP-What do you use/do?

WOW, we are overwhelmed with stuff. We put soo much away in the basement, yet theres still so much.

I have one of those bin systems with the 3 shelves and am wondering if I shoudl get another one( not a fan, b/c unless I stay on top of it all the time...and who does...all the toys just mesh together and its a mess all the time)....or a toy box or WHAT else?

Anyone have any creative storage ideas?

I bought some clear storage boxes for things like .." all the puzzles"...and in another "art supplies" ..." little people". But I would have 40 clear boxes if I continue that route.

TIA!!

I'm at a loss also! Now that she's getting older, a lot of the toys have more and more parts....and they're all getting lost of mixed up. And dont' even get me started on the crayons!!!!Chat Icon

Gallon or 2 gallon size zip lock bags with the little parts inside and then put them in the toy box. I used to do this with Emma's toys and started slacking so all the toys are meshed together. I plan to get organized when Nicholas goes back to school.

Baskets or bins are good too. You can get those canvas bins at Target for like $5 and put them on a shelf. Nicholas has a bunch in his room and some lined baskets under his bed. Emma has a couple on her changing table shelf and once they aren't full of "baby stuff", I'll put toys in them.

We use bins and baskets like suggested. A few months back I did a big purge, and anything they hadn't played with in the past month or longer was donated. They never even noticed.

OMG I need help too.

Right now I have one big plastic tub, and I purged some stuff to have new stuff go in, but I still need more help.
We have a toy box, but he doesn't go in it...
