Store credit card questions
1. If you don't use a store credit card for a certain amount of time, is it customary or usual for the store to close that card?
2. If the card is closed, and in the future, if you decide that you want that store card again, how difficult is it to open another one?
TIA!

Re: Store credit card questions
It's customary for them to close accounts after a period of inactivity, if your credit is decent, usually not a problem to open a new account or reactivate the old account

Re: Store credit card questions
This happened to me with Lord and Taylor! I used it in August and by the time I went to use it again 6 months later, it had been closed for inactivity. No warning, no nothing! I had to wait for the lady to call customer service and find out the problem, then I had to wait another 5 minutes while they ran a new credit app and issued me a new number.
That card is probably closed now for inactivity! I only shop there maybe once or twice a year!

Re: Store credit card questions
Usually very easy to reopen and you get the discount that they give to first time card users.
