Storing off season clothes

I am in the process of changing over my clothes from summer/fall to fall/winter while I have a couple of days off. Do you store your clothes somewhere other than your bedroom? Any tips? I am in clothes chaos. Chat Icon thank you!!

Re: Storing off season clothes

In the attic, hanging on a garment rack draped in sheets to protect from dust. Casual stuff is folded in plastic storage bins.

Before DH, I used my other closet. Now I have to share Chat Icon

They go in tubs in the basement. Some go in a closet in the spare room.

Re: Storing off season clothes

This reminds me that I have way too much clothing. I have a closet in the basement where I keep my offseason clothes-- in the winter my capris, shorts, skirts & short-sleeved shirts are in there, in the summer my long-sleeved shirts & pants go in there, also a large plastic tub where I keep my sweaters folded because I don't like to hang them.

Re: Storing off season clothes

I keep everything out all the time. Except shoes. Either my sandals or my boots are stored in boxes at the top of my closet depending on the season.

Storing off season clothes

Honestly, I use my luggage to store my off season clothes. It's a huge space saver. Whatever can't fit in there we use storage bins

Me too.

I have terrible closet space. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

This but even my shoes are out. I don't have the space or time to be switching things and this way I always get rid of things I don't really want.

Also, my parents live in FL so I need to have summer clothes during the winter and it makes packing easy.

I'm curious, what do you do with the clothes if you need to use the luggage?

Since having kids I don't go on vacation enough to have to worry about this unfortunately Chat Icon Chat Icon

The one time that we did, I just threw the clothes on my bed till we came back lol

Oh I also use vacuum storage bags for the girls clothes. We throw those in storage bins. We can fit a lot more that way

I don't go away that much, but I have a lot of luggage in the attic. So it's not in the pieces I would use if I did end up going somewhere.
