Strange Gifts

DH has some friends from college who live in a far away state. Ever since Chloe was born they have sent three gifts. the first gift was a box of her DD's used lucnboxes and a size 2 santa outfit. The next shipment was of these dolls that scared the hell out of me--the hair was torn out and there were pen scribbles all over them. i just threw them away. Then yesterday we got a very large box with an extraordinary shipping label--it was a box filled with Legos--pretty cool--some pieces were missing and they need a washing, but we're going to keep them. I'm just curious, does anyone else find this strange?

Yes, I'm not going to lie. Those are some odd gifts. I mean, I'm all for hand me downs and use them all the time, but clean, well-kept and useful ones. That's just bizarre. Maybe the shipments will get better and better because the legos are cool

Are they GHIFTS...or just stuff they dont want anymore...My SIL gives us used stuff too, i love it, its not for bdays or anything...

That is strange. I am all for hand me downs also, but wouldn't you clean them before you sent them? The Legos anyway.

And to not ask if you want those things before they send them veiled as gifts is even weirder.

I mean, not knowing these people-- they are either a little wackadoo, or they are coming from a good place, but just didn't think cause well, they are wackadoo. That sums it up.

They don't send notes either--this time they wrote on the inside of the flap--"From our princess to yours..."
