Strange Question regarding female dogs and menstration...
When does a female dog menstruate for the first time?
Our dog Maggie is approxiamtely 2.5 years old, we've had her for 2 years and she has never had a cycle. We were told by 2 vets that she was fixed prior to us owning her.
But it looks like she could be having a cycle now. Everything I have read on google says that it is usually around 6 months that it happens and it has never happened to her before
Help!!

If she was fixed, I don't believe she should have a cycle. My female went into her first heat before I got her fixed, at 8 mths. I got her fixed a few mths after that cycle. She has never had a cycle again.
If her ovaries were removed, she could not have a cycle.
