Strange symptom wondering if anyone has ever experienced...

There is a part of my head that for the past few days is sore when I touch it - like a bruise - like if I press on it - it hurts. It's on my right side kind of above my temple but, past where my hairline begins - in my hair. It's a small area - like a quarter size or smaller. When I brush past it lightly I don't feel it but, if I press on it - it hurts. Otherwise, I don't feel it at all. Wondering if it is something to be concerned about? It is driving me crazy!

Maybe an ingrown hair or pimple? Could u have bumped the area in your sleep and bruised it?

I've had this quite a few times in my life. Sometimes i feel like my forehead is bruised (like you described, hurts when you press on it) but it's not black & blue or anything. I have absolutely no idea what it is, but it's happened to me enough times that I'm not concerned at this point!

ETA- this happens to my mom too! You are def. not the only one

I have had this in my scalp. I usually eventually find a pimple in that area afterwards.

Most likely a pimple....if it doesn't go away, it could be a "pilar cyst".

I had something similar and it ended up being a swollen gland due to an inner ear infection. If it doesn't go away in a few days, get your ears checked out!
