Strasburg Railway in PA?
is it worth visting with a 3 yr old if Thomas is not there?
we're only going for 3 days and doing dutch wonderland, amish country and i'm trying to decide between hershey and the railway for a morning.
if you went what did you do there and how long was your visit?

totally!
If you plan it, you can bring lunch & stop at the picnic grove for lunch. There's also a short walk to a children's farm-type amusement place across from the grove.

not sure if this answer will help at all since i have never been to strasburg....but I bring josh to our train museum all the time...we have a better time when thomas isn't around..less crowded.
 did you ever think you would be hanging out in train yards for a good time??

 I was thinking that recently! Who knew how EXCITING it would be to plan a vacation to see a bunch of old trains!!!!!
