Straw Cups/Drinking in the highchair?

Thomas is starting to use straw cups and is doing very well with them.

Problem is, when he is drinking during a meal and is sitting in his highchair, there isn't room for him to hold the cup low enough so that he can suck out of it without tilting the cup up. KWIM? He "gets" that you don't have to tip the straw cup up to drink, but in the high chair, he has trouble.

Anyone else have this problem or have suggestions to help him?

Thank you!

Thanks to both of you!

I did try pulling the tray out, but I feel like then he's too far from his tray to eat comfortably.

Can you get a shorter cup, that way there is room to sip form it.

Thanks!

I tried a shorter cup (Take and Toss Straw Cup instead of Playtex Sport Straw) and pulled the tray out slightly. He did much better. I'll save the Playtex cups for the car and stroller until he's taller!
