Stressed!
I don't know what to do. Since I tested homozygous for the MTHFR gene I've been so confused. I don't feel like any doctor knows enough about this condition. I work for 5 doctors who have never even heard of this. As I do research on the internet I've read that I am at a more than two fold risk to keep having miscarriages. It also says I should be on Heparin along with the baby aspirin I am already taking. My doctor never mentioned anything about Heparin. Believe me I do not want to be on Heparin but if it will help me carry to term I will do just about anything. I feel so silly calling and questioning my doctors advice because I was once told by a doctor to stop doing internet research. DH and I are trying on our own this month and now that I am in the 2ww I am scared that I should have been on the Heparin prior to getting pregnant again. Should I discuss this with Dr. Chu (my RE)? I got pregnant the third time through an IUI with her and even though I left a message that I m/c'd I'm not so sure she got it. She doesn't even know I have this problem. I don't know if I could go through a fourth m/c--I don't think I am strong enough to handle all that again. YET...I am not willing to give up. Am I making sense? Thanks for listening.

Re: Stressed!
SO sorry
YES, I think you should definatly talk to your RE asap about this. You want to make sure going forward that they are prepared to treat you for your issues in the best manner. They cant do that if they dont know the whole of it.
As far as leaving a message, I would be VERY upset that they didnt call you back? I have called there and asked to be put on hold to speak to her and the one time she was suppossed to call me back in an hour, I called back an hour later and same thing, they put her on with me. I actually am NOT fond of the reception staff there with the way they transfer you to "your" dr's secretary or nurse and you get voice mail 80% of the time.
I think you should call them and ask for a callback by the DR to discuss your next steps.
I really have no advice, since Im nto a DR, but do research, bring it to your drs attention and keep the faith. You can get PG, and you can have a health baby, it may just take longer. Your a trong person for what you have already been through.
I wish you the best

Re: Stressed!
I wish I had more advise to give you but always listen to what you are feeling. I basically had a doctor say the same thing to me and it turns out he should have run a test that he didn't which could have lead to undetected cancer. Thank goodness, that wasn't the case but I knew he wasn't the doctor for me.
I hope you find the protocol that works for you!

Re: Stressed!
I agree that you should call your RE and insist to speak with them, even if you have to wiat on hold.
