Stroller advice need opinions...Rock Star Bugaboo ladies come in
OK I have come to the conclusion that I have an obsession with strollers
Anyway I bought a Bumbleride Flyer. I love the fabric and the way it steers when the baby is facing out but when the baby is facing you it's a little akward to maneuver. The reason I bought the Flyer was for that reason alone. So I'm selling it on Ebay and I'm on a quest for a new stroller.
When the weather warms up I want to walk with DD.... to the village and Seaport all which are about a mile or so from my home. The streets are a little rough by the seaport and some areas of the village so I'm looking for an all terrain type stroller. I'm not into the jogging strollers so I was looking of course at the Bugaboo or the Rock Star. My question is right now I cannot afford a new Bugaboo and honestly I don't want to pay $800 for a stroller I will only probably use on weekends. I was looking at other strollers comparable to the Bug and the one with the best ratings ended up being the Rock Star. I found the German version of the Rock Star (Infinity Icoo) in Hot pink no bassinet (which is OK because by that time DD will have out grown it) brand new in box for a price that I can afford when my Bumbleride sells. Or I have been seeing alot of used Frogs on Ebay and Craigslist for about the same price. Soooo would you buy the Rock Star stroller brand new. The fabric is gorgeous and it's different...the Bugs where I llive are a dime a dozen or would you do the "safe" thing and buy a used Frog that has a proven excellent reputation?
Also anyone that owns the Rock Star can you let me know your likes dislikes about it? TIA!

All I can say is I have a Bug and I took it to downtown Brooklyn, which is all coblestone. It drove over it so nicely and DD didn't wake up. I love mine.

Have you looked into the Uppababy Vista? It's cheaper than a bug, its very durable and cool looking too. I wanted to get it, but it was a little to heavy/bulky for me. If I lived in the city i would have got it. I have a Bumbleride Flyer now but I havent had the problems you experienced. yet, at least.

I've seen the Uppa. Actually my BFF has it. It's really nice but it's a little bulky...too bulky for me. It weighs about the same as the Rock Star but it's wider.

I have the Rock Star and while I love it, I am taking it back to Sukons so they can check the wheels because they keep sticking in the front and it makes it very hard to steer, especially with one hand.
Hopefully it's just mine and they can fix/replace it....

I say just get a Maclaren, they handle beautifully. Not like a Bugaboo, but the bug isn't great for a toddler as they often grow too tall for the seat. I walk all over my town (which is like Queens) with my Maclaren Techno and I do really love it. Don't spend too much money on a new pushchair, just get a Maclaren.
