Stroller Rentals in Disney/Universal....

Are they worth it?

We are going soon, and I'm debating bringing ours or renting. DD is 3 years old and doesn't nap.

If you are talking about the one you can rent inside the parks, they are a hard shell plastic and no storage bag. You also cannot take them out of the parks. They are for in park only use.

I think there are companies outside disney that rent strollers.

We use Orlando Stroller Rentals...it's about the same price as renting in the parks, but much more comfortable for the kids.

Just bring a dinky umbrella stroller for when she gets tired of walking. That's what we do for DS.

I would just bring your own. Renting is expensive and you can't take it out of the park so you are stuck walking to the parking lot/bus/monorail, etc. You would probably want it for the airport too....especially since there is a lot of walking at Orlando airport.

Are you staying on the Disney grounds? If so - you can rent through your hotel. Friends did this and got a City Mini and were very happy with their experience.

We rented a City Mini double stroller when we went to Disney last year.

They will deliver it to your hotel and pick it up from your hotel. It was SO worth it to me because the strollers are very comfortable and DC could lay back and take great naps in them.

They also have the single in you don't need it for 2 DC.

What did you guys do in the airport and stuff if you didn't have the stroller? You carried them or had them walk? I am talking about a 15 month old...

OH OK! I was thinking I was the only one that would be feeling overwhelmed and like WTH is going on with our luggage and where is my DD, wheres the pack and play hahah! How could I get anything done holding her and pushing luggage finding stuff and looking for my 2nd child ie DH... hahaha

I would either bring from home (extra storage to help at the airport) otherwise I would rent from one of the companies down there (some were mentioned above). They deliver it to your hotel - and pick it up from your hotel. The only downside is not having it at the airport. They tend to be city minis but vary from company to company. I have heard really good things

I would NOT rent from WDW at all. They are VERY expensive per day - and you can't leave the park with it so if are on a monorail resort and your child falls asleep you will have to take them out and carry them versus just wheeling them onto the ferry or monorail back to the hotel. They are probably fine having said that - if you just want one for a short time 1 or 2 days and you have an older child who gets tired at the end of the day. But again they are very expensive you are probably better to buy a cheapy umbrella and chucking it after the trip.

They DO sell inexpensive Kolcraft umbrella strollers at the MK I am pretty sure at the entrance (I saw them on our last trip and read about them on disboards). They are I think about $30-40- about the cost of a 1-2 day rental but are really bare bones - good to toss at the end of the week if you will rarely use it.
