Stupid computer question-RE: microsoft word
I have a computer at school that I create a lot of things on. On that computer are probably 100 files, all MS word. The computer is a Mac.
I would like to put them on a flash drive ( or even just email them ) so I can also have them on my computer at home just in case something happens to my school computer. It's older and with the BOE, you NEVER know.
Only thing is that my home computer is a PC. Will the files work on my home computer?

MS Word for a PC has a save as Mac version - I am sure the Mac has the same thing.

Where is that option? I've never seen that.

It should be fine, just make sure you save the file with the file extension (.doc for MS word files).
Why don't you try sending one to your self via email first before you attempt all 100?

Re: Stupid computer question-RE: microsoft word
I have mac at home and pc at work and have never had a problem as long as one version is the same.
For example, both have to be at least 2007 office. (2007 extension is .docx, 2003 is .doc)
I've never had to use a converter.
