stupid office pet peeve
its silly i know, but i hate it when i come in, in the morning and see stuff on the fax machines. and there are 2 women in the office already and they can't be bothered to pick up the faxed. we share 2 fax machines so i know their stuff is on the fax. drives me nuts when people are that lazy!!

when I get a memo to call so-and-so and leave a message about [insert something I don't know anything about, something that was previously discussed with the memo-writing employee, not me]. Hellllllo - you know the case. The time it took you to WRITE THE FRIGGEN MEMO, you could've just left the friggen message.

I have a bunch, but these popped in my head first...
there's a girl that sits in a cube near my office door that sounds like a combo of choking on a hairball and really bad smokers cough. 
the woman in the office next door to me uses her speaker phone 75% of the time which means she sits & screams into the phone.  She may as well yell down the hall b.c che can't be any louder.

That's on my list as well as the fact that no one turns on the lights!! I get in very early but a couple of people are already in and do not turn on the lights.
People who steal "public" supplies from the mailroom - if you need a damn roll fo tape just freaking ask me!!!
Also the TONS AND TONS of papers sitting on the printers. If you're not going to pick it up why did you print it??
I'm also convinced 99% of the office is unaware that they have a mailbox in the mailroom.
When FedEx or someone rings the bell and who ever answers the door doesn't just sign for the freaking package!!!
People who keep unlocking the doors because they don't have a door pass even though instructions are on the door as to how to obtain a pass.
I could go on and on ...
HATE!

YES. i usually just throw it away. if you are going to print something, then retrieve it dammit. if not, in the garbage it goes.

Mine will start talking to me plus some will ask are you on the phone Um DUH!!
I also hate when the minute I walk in they need to talk to me about a "problem", which is always something minor, that can wait. Hello can I put my stuff down and get Damien settled first

I TOTALLY agree. I have one woman who comes in and closes the door behind her while I am still on the phone. How rude!!!!!!!!!!

I hate this too!! And I don't know how many times someone comes into my office I have the phone to my ear and they say "Oh, are you on the phone?" No, you moron, I had an unfortunate accident.

I agree - speakerphone talkers are annoying. I can hear one of them now. He's also the kind of person who will do anything for attention.
When he wants to talk to you, he makes sure he talks really slow, repeats things, long pauses while he just stands there and smiles at you... He's really very very creepy.
He and one other person also love to yell out people's names across the office. They can't walk the extra 5 feet first to see if they're even at their desk.

I wholeheartedly agree with all of these....
My favorite is people who decide its appropriate to have a conversation right outside of my cubicle, sometimes they are even halfway standing in the cubicle itself. No, Im not important or anything, Im not actually trying to concentrate or do work, feel free to do what you want!
My other favorite is people who run down the hall. This is not a hospital so there is no need to run. This is media research - nothing is life threatening!!!!!

I hate when my boss hands me something just to fax - YOU can do it. The other day he got something out of the filing cabinet - right next to the fax machine - walked across the room to my desk and asked me to fax it. You were just standing right there!!

There's a guy here who says "don't leave me a voicemail, don't leave it in my mailbox, and don't leave it on my desk" - we can only HAND it to him personally. Well, if he were ever HERE maybe we could!

learn to use the paper feed feature of the printer.
one guy holds up everyones pringing ( about 10 of us share a printer and we print out a LOT of stuff) because he has to put the letterhead in - tell everyone not to print - go back to his desk, clicks print - UGH!!
I have shown him how to set up the page so that he doesnt have to do all this - but he doesnt listen
