STUPID phone call from a recruiter (long vent)
Me: hello
SR: Hi I got your resume about XYZ position and we want to set up an interview, but I need to conduct a small phone interview first.
ME: I can do that now.
SR: Great..(and she asks me question for 20 minutes, to which I have brilliant witty answers )
SR: Well you certainly seem VERY qualified for this position, and I am confident that you can request top salary for it. OK finally I wanted to talk about your computer skills, I see that you have worked with 6 or 7 platforms for print and data management, have you ever used XXXXX system?
Me: No, the list on my resume is a complete list.
SR: OH, the job requries XXXXXX knowledge.
Me: Well I have not used it, but I have seen it used in XYZ capacity.
SR: That's not the same as this version of the program....are you sure about what you wrote on your resume?
Me: Positive. I can give you examples of all of my work in all of the platforms I mention.
SR: Well that still does not include XXXXXX program. OK thank you anyway.

OMG USELESS!!
sometimes i can not stand recruiters...one called me and we talked for 25 minutes and then she realized she ment to call someone else with the exact same name, same spelling..who she had met with that morning!!!!!

How friggin annoying! They are my new arch enemies. I hate a slow job market.

What a moron!!!!
At this point my response would've been real sarcastic, something along the lines of "Nah, I didn't really look it over too well, what did I write? Can you read it back to me?"
You handled it much better!!
