stupid question about making formula bottles...
ok my little girl is up to 6 oz . I use the 32oz RTU formula - so I make 5 bottles of 6 oz - what do you do with the leftover oz's? Just make a small bottle and use it if you need it and if not toss it? Seems like such a waste.

Re: stupid question about making formula bottles...
do you use similac? If so, I would just put the cap on and keep it in the fridge for the next round of bottles. The formula is good in the open container for 3 days.
If you use a metal can it is good for 24 hours in the fridge if it is open

Re: stupid question about making formula bottles...
I have the same problem. But since the RTF bottles are good for 72 hours, and I go through 5-6 bottles per day, I just save those extra few ounces and use them first with the next set of bottles for the following day. So I always have a few extra ounces in the fridge (you never really catch up and even out). I hope this explanation makes sense!

I use the metal can.
Can I put it in a bottle and then add to it with the next round?

Re: stupid question about making formula bottles...
When I was using the Enfamil prosobee RTF, I'd open the metal can and pour the whole thing into a plastic pitcher and fill the bottles from that.....the leftovers went in the fridge for the next round of bottles (and the pitcher went in the dishwasher when empty in between fillings)

That is what i do, I bought those plastic caps that you sue for cat/dog food covers, and pour it as I go.
