(stupid question but) how long do you brush your toddlers teeth for?
my ds HATES when i brush them and it becomes a hysterical fit each time. he only has 6 front teeth and 2 molars and i usually only try to get them all brushed in 2 swipes and then i let my ds do it (which of course he loves). i'm just wondering if i do it enough b/c it takes like 5 seconds.

As long as he'll let me. Some days he doesn't care and we get a really good brushing. Other days h'es bite down and scream and I'm lucky if I get one swipe over the molars.

Thomas always opens his mouth for one second and then bites down. I try to get at least one swipe on all his teeth, but I never feel like we get a really good brushing...

DD is only 14m and only has 5 teeth.. she will open her mouth to let me, but its gotta be quick. Then once I do, she wants the toothbrush to do herself. Shes pretty good at hitting the teeth, so actual brushing is really quick.

Jack loves brushing his teeth and has a fit when I take the toothbrush away from him - he could brush them for ten minutes!

Ditto. Although DD just suck on her brush She's 13 months and has 16 teeth already!!! I'm waiting for my new dental insurance to kick in and she's going!!

as long as she will let me, which is about 10-15 seconds. I do it and then I give her a turn, she LOVES to brush her own teeth (aka - suck the toothpaste off the brush)
