Re: Suffolk PD Test Results Posted...

They think it is more fair that way, DH took the test back in the 1990's, got 100%, and was thrown out, SO Suffolk decided to take all the "top" scores and put it in a big fish bowl, somewhat, and make a lottery so even if you got the highest score you still could not get in based on their lotto. SU-CKS!!!!!!!!

EXACTLY!!! Alot of people dont know that. They only take about 100 people off the whole list. PLUS, the whole thing is a lottery system. DH has friends that got 92 and 97's on the last test and were never called. .

Wow - just scoured the list and saw someone I know who did NOT do very well at all - I wonder if he studied - I know he has taken it before and doesn't seem to be improving - yikes, this will prob be crushing for his Father who was a PO and it is obvious to everyone that he wants him to be one too. I saw someone I know with the SAME situation. I know he studied a LOT too. His dad (who is a PO) is going to be furious. Chat Icon

The guy isn't very nice though, so I sort of feel like for once that the whole "Karma" thing has worked out.

It is so funny you say that - b/c the person that I was referring to isn't very nice either - same with his relatives! Karma is a BIG biiitch! I tell ya - you wish bad on people and it will come back and bite you and YOU will be the one who actually has bad things happen! Amazing.

Has anyone heard when the "Lotto" is taking place? I was asking DH about this and he said he thought that a number of years ago you could go and witness the Lotto process.

I can't help but wonder if this is how sooo many son's of current officers get called. Like they all just miraculously do really well in the lotto drawing... Chat Icon
