Summer Infant Video Monitor..PLEASE HELP!

The video monitor is saying"Out of Range". Everything is plugged in and fully charged. I don't get it. This never happened before. Even if I stand right outside her door it still says out of range. DH isn't home yet and I just put DD to bed. I am a nervous wreck since she just recently starting sleeping in her crib...I need this to work. Chat Icon

Any ideas?

Re: Summer Infant Video Monitor..PLEASE HELP!

Is there any kind of wireless signal that could be interfering?

I know that our wireless internet and that monitor do not mix.

Our wireless speakers make the video signal break up too.

Re: Summer Infant Video Monitor..PLEASE HELP!

That happens to me sometimes... I have the online instructions saved so I copied this off it for you:

Pairing Monitor and CAMERA:
The Monitor and CAMERA are paired at the factory for privacy reasons. If the Monitor and CAMERA are not paired with each other for any reason, please pair them as described below.
Step 1: Move the Monitor to the same area as the CAMERA. With the Monitor on, press the Menu button on front of Monitor and using the Scroll button move down to the “ADD/DEL CAM” option. Press the Scroll button to select “ADD/CAMERA”.
Step 2: At the same time press and hold the scroll button on the monitor and the pairing button on the CAMERA for at least 5 seconds. Then release.
Step 3: You should then see a picture from the CAMERA on the Monitor.
Step 4: If this is unsuccessful, you will see the message “OUT OF RANGE” on the Monitor screen and should repeat steps above making sure the CAMERA and Monitor are close enough to each other for pairing.

OK I will do this. I have to tiptoe into her room to do it...in the dark lol. Where is the pairing button on the camera so I can feel for it?

I swear there should be a camera on ME as I try to fix this. True comedy.

Chat Icon Chat Icon The pairing button is on the back of the camera... it's a PITA. Ours is mounted on a nail so whenever this happens I have to do the same as you... feel around in the dark! What I did last time was unplug it and take the whole thing into another room, then when I got it paired I went back in and hung it back on the nail on her wall.
