Summer monitor, wwyd?
So we have the Summer Handheld monitor since DS was born (18 months) and a few months ago I had to replace the battery. Well now everytime I plug it in it is so staticy. I have to twist the cord in just the right direction so it doesn't have that interference noise. It's usually ok when unplugged, although the sound gets a little funky. So I'm pretty sure I need to get a new one, but DS is 18 months and I'm not planning on having another. His bedroom is upstairs and we can't hear him from our room so we need something, but I don't know if I want to spend the money for a video monitor again. And if I get another video monitor I want one that is going to last! So wwyd, get another video monitor or switch to an audio one??

Did you contact Summer about the problem? They might offer the option to buy a refurbished if not completely replace...although personally I wouldn't.
I have both the original set and now the digital. I have no problem with the digital and the picture is clear without interference. The only complaint...the camera doesn't has as big of a range as the old one so we had to really play around with positioning to see DS. But it worked out.

I would call Summer again and tell them the problem. If they don't replace it then I would personally buy another monitor because I feel like once Jack goes into a bed I will be stalking his room

No, I haven't called them yet. Last time I called they told me the warrantee was up at 1 year but I was able to get the battery. I'll see if they sell the handheld part separately (the camera is fine).
And Diana, you're right. I'm sure once he goes in a big boy bed I'll be happy to have it!!

I would call Summer too but if they won't do anything, I would get a new one. DD is 3 1/2 and I still use hers everynight and dont see myself giving it up anytime soon.
