Summer vacation and child support

Hi!

If the ex takes the kids for a month over summer, do you get child support?

I cannot make a mortgage payment without the support payment.

I think he thinks that if they stay with him for a month over the summer break he doesn't have to pay.

how does this work by law?

Editing to say yes I would still expect to get it BUT as the receiver I would offer to take less because you aren't feeding them and he will be. I don't know the law.

My ex doesn't make a ton of money. I would want him to have funds to take care of my girls for a whole month so that they are having fun and are eating and comfortable.
Groceries for my 2 kids for a month could be 1 week of support. I just like to be fair which in the long run is best for the kids.

unless it is stipulated in the agreement, support continues. The bills don't stop just because the child isn't there.

I know this b/c when we didn't have custody of SS we would keep him the whole summer and still have to pay her.
