Summer virus?
DS just woke the other day with a fever. Took him to the Peds and tested negative for strep. Had a low fever all day yesterday and woke fine today. Now he's saying his head hurts a little so he's resting again and has a low fever again of 100. Usually I don't consider that a fever bc was outside before so now he's resting and I'll take it again later.
Anyone else's LO have this going on? The Ped said a 24 hour virus is going around. Just wondering how long it lasted. Thanks

Summer virus?
DD had this last week. Started at 100.5 and was 104.1 by the afternoon. Inconsolable, then lethargic. Woke up the next morning with no fever, looked and felt fine. It was bizarre.

Summer virus?
My son (3) just got over the worst virus he has ever had. 8 days of fever that reached a 105.3 with no other symptoms. 2 trips to the ER and an infectious disease dr and he is finally back to normal

Re: Summer virus?
All 3 of my kids had this. Yes 24-48 hours of fever, lethargic. 2 days later completely fine.

Summer virus?
Hailey was complaining that her eyes hurt, she was red all around her eyes. I assumed it was rubbing from being tired and being at the beach. 2 days later she had a fever now shes fine.

Re: Summer virus?
So my older son is fine now and my younger son caught it. I hope it's the same virus bc it was only a couple of days.
Fingers crossed

Re: Summer virus?
One of my DD's has had a fever on and off since early Thursday morning. Last night it went as high as 103.2. Then came down with Motrin but back up again a few hours later. Gave tylenol. She's been at about 100.8 since. If it's still hanging around by tomorrow I was going to take her to the ped. but not sure they will even do anything and I'd hate to have to wait around in the office for them to say just that.

Re: Summer virus?
2 of my dc had this last week. First my 2 year old got it...fever with no other symptoms besides tiredness...it lasted 3 days.
Then my 5 year old got it...same exact thing. fever for 3 days and then he was fine.
