Super Squirmy Newborn - whats the deal?
DS is 2 weeks old. When I was pregnant, he squirmed around constantly. He still does it now. Seems like when he is awake he can't stop moving and starts to fuss. He doesn't carry on screaming but more fussing. He has only spit up twice and is a decent burper. BMs are regular and sometimes a little watery. He sneezes and snorts alot. Eats every 3-4 hours and about 3 ounces. He is on Similac Advance Powder. I am considering changing his formula. I have the Enfamil NB powder by the ton so I was going to try that first. Is this gas? Colic? Reflux? I tried gripe water and it didn't do anything. I did some infant massage this morning. Any ideas? I feel like this is going to get worse! With a demanding 20 month at home also, I FEAR a fussy baby!

Maybe he's irritated by something on his skin? Fabric or laundry detergent?

Maybe he's gassy?
Enfamil Gentlease is very good for gas.

are you swaddling? It really does calm them down. My dd was like that. Just fussy. She could NOT stop moving her arms. Something about their underdeveloped nervous systems. She started to settle around 8/9 weeks.

My friend's DCs were all like that. She kept them swaddled most of the time and it helped.
