I wish it were earlier too! I'm usually in bed by 10:00, if not earlier. I wake up at 5:45, and need at least 7.5 hours of sleep.
Me too! We already got invited to a party, but still we have to drive home, etc., and I know I won't be in bed before midnite...

I think to be at someone's house on a Sunday at 10:30 is late because you still have to drive home, get ready for bed and mentally prepare your mind for the week. I go to bed late, trust me, but I like to be home on a Sunday night.

DH believes the day after the super bowl should be a national holiday and everyone gets off.
he's taken off that Monday MANY times! I'll be pissssed if he does this year since he wouldn't take off for our stinking house closing!

Hey it's better than the world series, that's usually during the week and those games don't end until close to midnight!!
I don't have a problem with it being on a Sunday but I do think it should start at 5:30, not 6:30. I understand not doing it too early because of the west coast. But I think 5:30 is much more reasonable. Then it would be over by 9:30-10:00 and people could be home by 11 at the latest. We have a party every year and it does stink that people don't even leave our house until 11 and then we have to do all the cleanup. But you get used to it!

true true... but SB parties are legendary, as are the commercials. also, the WS is played in at least 4 games. so not as big of a "hype" around it.
I remember going to SB parties and absolutely hating football - I never even knew who was playing but I always had a blast and loved the commercials.
