Sushi Bar tipping Etiquette???

DH and I love Sushi and go often. Once in a while we sit at the Sushi Bar.

My question is, the waitress/waiter usually just gives you a drink if you order one, cleans your area and not much more, but the Sushi Chef's are the ones giving you your food.

Do you tip the waitress as if you were sitting at a table or do you split it between the sushi Chef and the Waitress?

DH and I were wondering the same thing the other night when we ended up sitting at the sushi bar instead of a table. We ending up giving a tip to the waitress and to the chefs.
