We just signed up for baby and me at our local rec. Its for 6-18mos. I plan on continuing lessons, starting with the guided ones (with parents) then graduate to the individual lessons (around 3 or 4), that's how I learned to swim. DD is 7 months old.

I want to start ASAP, as DD loves the water for a bath and it's very important to me for her to learn. SHe's 7.5 months, so hopefully by 9 months at the latest. I want to go to Saf-T-Swim and do the class where you get to take them in and work with an instructor, even though that means I have to wear a bathing suit then Chat Icon

HA. I know, that is what worries me, the way I was taught to swim at the Y (just being thrown into the pool kicking and screaming Chat Icon Chat Icon ) is not that way I want miki to learn...I am gonna make some calls today
