Can we be around anyone who has got the swine flu vaccine if we did not?

My friend who is preggo got it for her daughter last week and the ped didn't mention anything to her about it.

Yes, you can be around those who got the swine flu shot, because it contains dead virus. I'd stay away from anyone who had the nasal vaccine though, because it has weakened virus.

Ask your OB. Mine said you can be around anyone with either injected or flumist.

I don't believe it is an issue at all. The shot is the dead virus, so it isn't like we were actually given the live flu.
And in all honesty, I am sure you are going to be around people who have gotten the shot without even knowing it. It's not like you are going to ask every single person you are near if they got the shot or not. I'm sure it's safe.
