Switching from Liquid formula to Powder
if you did this how did your LO react? is there a difference?
The liquid formula is very expensive and it would be easier to use powder especially in the middle of the night feedings where I can use room temp water, since she screams bloody murder lol.
Thanks!

Re: Switching from Liquid formula to Powder
DS was on all liquid for the first week or so he was home from the hospital. We switched to powder one day and he had no issues...

Re: Switching from Liquid formula to Powder
I actually feel like the powder stays down easier than the liquid and she spits up less on it...because it's thicker IMO. We did a switch in the beginning and it was fine!

So weird, we had the opposite! When we tried powder, DS had MAJOR major spit ups and throw ups and the ped said it's because it's THINNER (I thought it was thicker too, but they said it's thinner and I can see it now).
We eventually had to add a bit of rice cereal when we made the formula so that he would stop spitting up so much.

Re: Switching from Liquid formula to Powder
i used it interchangeably for a while, then switched to the good start powder b/c its so much cheaper...didnt have any problems.
my neighbor says it makes her kid more gassy and spits up more. but I didnt have that issue.

Re: Switching from Liquid formula to Powder
We just did this, its only day 2 and so far I think he is ok. He seems a little uncomfortable until he passes gas, but that is the reason we switched formula in the first place so we are going to give it another day or 2.
I agree though, so much easier with night feedings. I hated that I was half asleep and heating up bottles.
