Switching to formula at a late age
I think I will have to switch DD to formula during the day. I am just not pumping enough and my freezer stash is getting very low. How hard is it going to be to get DD to drink the formula? We have been giving her a sippy cup for almost 3 months and she really wants nothing to do with it (I have tried water and juice both).

Re: Switching to formula at a late age
I hope its not too hard for you. We started w/ DS at six months and it took us nearly two months for him to finally get use to it. Start right away mixing formula w/ bm and every couple of days add more formula. After a few weeks she might me just fine. DS did well with this only we could never get past the five parts formula w/ one part bm. He literally could taste the difference. Also the daycare teachers actually got him to drink from a regular plastic cup, so you might want to try this as well.

Re: Switching to formula at a late age
DS was EBF for about 6 months, then we slowly transitioned him to formula by 7.5m. He definitely preferred BM but eventually got used to formula.
We had this table that we followed that came with this enfamil bag that we received at the hospital.

Re: Switching to formula at a late age
I switched DD#1 to formula when she was 11 months old. I would put an ounce of formula in with 5 oz of BM. Then increased the formula amount over the course of 2 weeks. Within 2 weeks she was on straight formula.
