Switching to stage 2 baby food-questions
so i am starting to give DS stage 2 foods. My question is, a lot of them are now combinations (e.g apple strawberry), should i give each one for 3-4 days like i was doing every time i introduced a new fruit or veggie? This way i can make sure hes not allergic to the strawberries (i know hes fine with apples)?
Also, if i am doing a new one for a couple days, where do you incorporate in the meal (e.g lunch, dinner), Right now DS gets 1/2 container fruit and 1/2 container veggies for breakfast and dinner. We haven't started lunch yet (no reason, just didnt seem hungry for it). I am hoping to start the meats, next week after our 7 month appt. So i was thinking of doing , fruit for breakfast, veggie for lunch and then the meat combo for dinner. But if i am starting a new food, shouldnt i give it at every meal, or will i know whether he has an allergic if i only give it once a day (e.g meat only a dinner time for 3-4 days). I hope this makes sense and i am sorry if i sound confused (which i am)LOL
Also, if you dont mind posting your schedule, of when and what you give DC, that would really help! Thanks!

Re: Switching to stage 2 baby food-questions
well, i am probably no help but i will tell you what i do. DD is a little over 7 months. i switched to stage 2 around 6 months. since she had almost all the stage ones i just gave her whatever stage 2 i felt like giving her. i am very "liberal" when it comes to feeding. i am not very restrictive- i just do what i think works. so far it has been smooth sailing. i know that there is a thread going on right now about whether berries are safe if you want to check that out. i give DD the foods w/ berries and thankfully have no problem. so she basically gets: AM: stg. 2 fruit/cereal/a few puffs Lunch: stg 2 veggie w/ or w/o pastina/sometimes a gerber dessert too Dinner: same as breakfast HTH sorry couldn't offer more advice
