Table/Solid Food...WHAT to make baby for dinner?
Ok ladies,
I need recipe ideas. Kayla is 9 months old now and is eating solid foods at day care for both breakfast and lunch...but for dinner I am still giving her boring Gerber 3rd foods in the jar. She really isn't that into it and I know she wants to eat more solid food...but I don't know what to make her!
My hubby works nights a lot and so I have about 15-20 mins to get her fed before her bath, then bedtime. I really don't cook for myself very often. Usually it's ham sandwiches or PB&J, which obviously I can't give to DD.
I just don't know what to make her (besides boiled pasta) and really would like to know what you all started feeding your children when they were weaned off the jarred foods.....
Please help!!!

Lucas eats dinner at daycare because of our schedule. Here's what I make for him to eat there:
Chicken cutlet (cut into small pieces - I bake them) Macaroni & Cheese Pasta with Sauce (Barilla has a cute line of smaller sized pasta) Meatballs & Sweet Potato pieces Baked Ziti (he loves anything with cheese) Grilled Cheese Pizza

At what age can you start giving this type of food? Does it also matter how many teeth they have? I'm so bored of the basic baby foods and DD is only just shy of 7 mos.

i think i started finger foods around this age-starting with cheerios, puffs and then more things like i listed below. DD only has 3 teeth but is very good at using her gum to mash up food. i just don't give her ginormous pieces of food.

Re: Table/Solid Food...WHAT to make baby for dinner?
I give DS the items the other mommies give that are listed above and: watermellon cantelope gnocci spagetti and meatballs turkey chicken beef udon noodles tomatoes cucumbers rice corn kernels peas cheese (munster, havarti, motzarella, etc.) hardboiled egg - yolk only
basically what ever I make for us, DS gets too. The only things I am waiting on is fish and the list of no no foods for babies under (i.e. cow's milk, nuts, honey).

DD has a tooth and half (her 2nd isn't fully out ) and she will eat anything you put infront of her. She eats alot of stuff that was already listed. My ped told me to make her finger food no bigger than a cherrio in size and DD is 9.5 months old.
