Taking a newspaper into the bathroom with you...
a DO or a DON'T at work.
someone in my office (a man, man) just walked past me newspaper in tow, said hello, and walked right into the bathroom.
beside the myriad other things he could be doing in there with a newspaper of course...is that NOT an announcement that you are about to blow it up in there 
I just think it's hysterical...no shame in the game...nature calls, and if it's an extended phone call, you need entertainment 
I've yet to see a chick do it...maybe that's were the ipod comes in

I usually hide a magazine on the days I am lucky enough to be wearing a blazer otherwise I bring my phone and send text messages. I like his openess. Hopefully he will leave the paper in there for the next person.

Early in his career DH worked for a trader who would bring the NYT crossword puzzle in with him every day. On Friday he was in there longer than Monday. If people were looking for the trader someone usually said "Has he done the crossword yet today? Check the bathroom."

ewww no. an old female co-worker of mine would take the avon catalog or whatever crap was left on the lunch table in the staff restroom, it always grossed me out!

Ugh....gross. A guy at my old job would take my paper and go into the bathroom. It creeped me out, I never wanted the paper back...I let him keep it. I dunno, to me, can't you do that at home?Yuck.

An absolute don't! In fact, I work for a magazine and sometimes I'll go and pick up an issue and will want to stop in the bathroom on the way back to my desk, but I purposely drop off the mag first so as to not look like THAT PERSON!

There are a few in my office who do that and all I can think is ICK, AND to make sure I'm a little more careful about picking up random magazines and newspapers in my office!

Gross-what is worse is when they bring the paper back out with them-OR EVEN WORSE when they ask someone if they can borrow their paper, and THEN bring it back out to them. Once something has been in the bathroom it now must stay in the bathroom.

I just wanted to add that my office is right next to a toilet - literally right next to it, and since its away from the bulk of the other offices, everyone goes there to take the smelliest craps in the history of mankind... Its awful....
