taking pills

thankfully i don't have a problem with my prenatals

BUT after my Egg retrieval they have me taking amoxicillan and i feel like everytime i take one, which is 3x a day, i feel like it is just stuck in my throat and really hurts, one time i felt like i was being stabbed in the throat, i try to drink a lot of water but it doesnt seem to matter

anyone else have this happen to them
any ideas or tricks to prevent this

any advice would be greatly appreciated

So sorry about this!! I'm taking TONS of vitamins before I start my cycle and like you, I drink lots and lots of water. I find it helps to put the pill in my mouth, fill my mouth with water, and then tilt my head forward. It throws the pill to back of the throat and for some reason goes down easier. I hope this helps!!

I will only take an antibiotic and/or vitamins and eat something immediately afterwards. I always have the problem of pills getting stuck and food seems to push it down.

thanks ladies, i think i'll try eating with while taking it, its really just the antibiotic
