Taking Provera - weird thing going on....have question

I've taken Provera to bring on a period multiple times now and like clockwork I take it 1X/day for 10 days and then the within 24-36 hrs. I get a period. Here's the thing this go around. I've been feeling crampy all week as if AF is coming but I didn't think much of it because at the time I had days left of the Provera to finish. Now today I'm very crampy, I still have 2 days left of the Provera (Sat and Sun) and I'm actually spotting all day today.

Here's my question, have any of you ever experienced a breakthrough bleed or an early period while still on the Provera? I'm wondering if coincidentally my body was trying to have a period now on its own but I didn't think you could bleed while on the Provera. Not sure if it matters but I've been on Glucophage as well since the end of Sept. (1500mg) Anyway, just curious if it's anything to worry about or if anyone has had a similar experience. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Yup- I got my own period the day after I started provera--- I bled for 21 days straight between the 2 periods--- got them back to back (one ended Friday night and the next started on Sat am.). HTH!

Yes, I had bleeding the last time I took provera. It lasted for a day or two sometime during the 10 days, and then I got my regular period two days after the last provera pill.

Thanks for the response. I finished my last pill yesterday and started getting my period this afternoon. Oh joy!! LOL
