Taking your DC's out tonight
I was going to go to a freinds house about 20 min away but I am worried abuot icy roads.
Anyone just staying in tonight instead?

We are in for the night! I'm making a bunch of appetizer type things for dinner and made a chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert, we have non alcoholic cider (preg!) and will just cuddle and watch a DVD. No deisre to drive or take DS out in the bitter cold.

me too, on top of icy roads. I am thinking I might just keep DD in tonight. its a 20 min drive on sunrise highway, so if it was around the corner I might consider

DD & I are staying in, just b/c I don't take her out late at night if I can avoid it  I am also very nervous about all the drinkers on the road later too.

we are going to a friends of ours. they have a little girl a little older then dc, and a few friends will be there, we are sleeping over though..i wouldnt be going anywhere if we werent..id be happy home.

just going to my parents for dinner (5 min away) if the weather isn't too bad which I am praying its not b/c DH is flying in from San Diego tonight at 7:30  and I he gets home safe and sound. Shouldn't be too many drunks out that early....I hope.

We're going to a friend's about 10 minutes away...I have to admit, I'm nervous..
Nervous about the roads...nervous about the drunks...and nervous that my infant will cry all night just like she did on Christmas eve...
I would just stay home...but DH wouldn't have it...

I was just out in it (I'm in Putnam) the main roads are fine, but the local roads are slippery.
We were staying in regardless, but I personally wouldn't let this amount of snow/weather stop me if I was relatively close, had AWD or 4WD and drove slow. But that's me....I'm used to it being north.
IF you are uncomfortable just stay home, it's just as fun!!

We have plans to go to a friends house tonight but depending on the weather might cancel because it's about 30-40 minutes away. If we don't do that we will be going out to dinner with my boyfriends family.

i have stayed in for years because i dont want to travel with all the crazy drivers out there. Always have to worry about everyone else on NYE.
i usually have friends or family stop over and i make some appitizer stuff. I am fine with staying in, its a late night so i like to put my kids to bed on time and be in our house comfortable. NYE is not really a big celebration here, ever since DH became a city cop, he always works now on NYE.

Going to my dads.
He's 10 minutres away.
Friends are supposed to come too.
I haven't heard any one cancel yet, so, we'll see.
It's only 2PM. Not going there until about 6..Hopefully it will be OK by then.

We planned to stay in and we're sticking to it. We've had a whirlwind week of parties (3 big ones at our house) We want to keep DD in her schedule and enjoy a relaxing night together.
If we had plans that involved more than a short drive we'd probably cancel them given the road conditions.
