Talk to me about breakthrough bleeding on the mini pill

Anyone have experience with this? I've read that it is common on the mini pill, but I don't know exactly how much is normal. I went on the mini pill after having both of my boys. After my first, I got AF back at 11 months PP, but then got pregnant with my second 2 months later. So I didn't exactly get a good idea of what my cycles were like on it. This time, AF returned at 9 months PP, which was this past September. I feel like I am bleeding like every other week. Sorry for the TMI. Anyone else go through this? Just trying to figure out what's normal and what I need to be concerned about. TIA.

I was on it for a few months and then couldn't take it anymore! I was getting my period like every 2 weeks for a full 5 days! It just wasn't for me.

I had my period for a month straight on it!

I hated that pill so much that I had to go off. I was bleeding all the time and I felt weird while taking it. I am not sure I will ever go back on BC...we will just use natural family planning after this baby is born.

It's completely normal. I took it for years due to estrogen giving me migraines. It stopped when I took it at the exact time everyday. I would set my phone alarm so I would take it at 5 everyday. If I took it off schedule then I would get break through bleeding
