Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
DD is 3 months, so I think she's still a bit young to try and schedule her naps, etc., but I would love to get an idea of when other people starting scheduling naps and bedtime.
DD is a pretty great sleeper, usually goes down anywhere from 8-9:30pm and sleeps until 7-8:30am. Naps can be hit or miss. If I don't go out at all during the day I put her down every 1.5-2 hours and she'll generally sleep for about 30 minutes to an hour. Once she was exhausted and slept for about 2 hours.
Does your baby nap on a schedule? If so, when did it start? Does your DC eat on a schedule? DD is ebf so I feed on demand, usually every 2.5-3 hours.

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
My DS didn't really have a schedule until he was 5-6 months. I always followed his lead and he just created his own sleep schedule. I also BF, so I fed on demand, which usually followed a schedule unintentionally. I just went with the flow and we just fell into this schedule. He switches it up on me sometimes, but it's generally stays the same. At 3 months, there was really no rhyme or reason to our days lol!

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
I have a 10 week old and she is sleeping great at night (7-7) but the same thing during the day...little cat naps here and there, wont really go down for a regular nap yet...I dont remember what we did with DD#1, but I think the napping thing becomes more regular as they get older.

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
DS was on a rough schedule from the start, it was all set by him not me, I just kept a log and seemed he liked to do certain things at certain times. He was like a clock.
At 3m, I put him on a rigid schedule. He would sleep 11 hours a night (still does at 19m). At 3m he was taking 2 2 hour naps, and 1 30 minute nap in the eve.
I following Giordano's book. She has 2 versions of it, if you have any questions feel free to FM.
This is the book http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Sleep-Solution-Proven-Program/dp/0399532919
Its read more like a recipe than a book. Very easy to go through when your sleep deprived. But if you need any advice I'm happy to help

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
They'll start showing somewhat of a schedule soon. Dd is 3 mos now and is forming somewhat of a schedule similarnto the pp where shell give me one or two two hour naps and then a cat nap here and there later on in the day. Watch for cues of them being tired and try to put them down then. As for bf babies I know they tend to still eat more at 3 mos

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
my dd will be 3 months next week and she's not really on a schedule but i have noticed a consistent pattern with her in the morning. she usually wakes up around 6:45-7am and will have a bottle half an hour later. then an hour after she wakes, she'll get sleepy and will take a nap for about an hour. then she'll wake up and we'll play a little and she'll eat again and then want another nap. usually before noon, she already has 2 naps. the afternoon is different story cause thats when i'll try to go out and run my errands so she'll sleep in the car and while we're out. she's asleep for the night between 7-8pm.

Re: Talk to me about scheduling your infant's naps and sleeping schedules
DS is 6 months, and we still go by his schedule. Since we have switched to the crib, he is transitioning to 2 longer naps (usually it is a 20 min nap in between feedings) one in the morning and one afternoon, though he does still take cat naps too. He is also going to bed later and sleeping in later too... sometimes
