Talk to me about The Melting Pot restaurant
Tomorrow is my birthday. DH suggested we go to the melting pot for dinner. I have not been there and was wondering how it is. Thanks!

Talk to me about The Melting Pot restaurant
I love the Meting Pot! Its so fun, first you get a huge pot of cheese (you pick what you want) with all the dippings---breads/veges Then you cook your entree (steak, chicken, lobster/shrimp whatever you order Then you get pot of chocolate with all the sides (fruits, cakes, marshmellows) Its fun! some people dont love the idea of cooking their own entree but its so much fun!

I've only been there once but I really enjoyed it. As the PP said, it's fun and different!

Re: Talk to me about The Melting Pot restaurant
I love it but I don't care for the meat portion of the dinner. I just don't want to cook my own food plus I'm not a meat person anyway. You don't have to get every course so when I go with my girlfriends we skip it.
I am more than satisfied with the cheese, salad and chocolate!

I love it! I honestly love all 4 courses and cam never decide which is my favorite. Even their salads are so yummy. I'm a huge cheese lover so i of course love that, the main course with all different dipping sauces are a lot of fun, and you can't go wrong with chocolate although I'm usually so full by then and have to force myself to eat it!

I love it! All 4 courses are so good IMO. I love cooking the meat. When we go, we usually get the bourginonne cooking style and I personally prefer the sesame batter. The broccoli w/ the sesame batter cooked in the oil and then smothered in green goddess is my fave part lol.
One tip - go hungry if you're doing all 4 courses. And prepare for a good 2- 2.5 hours.

I went once and liked all but the cooking your own entree. I didn't think that part was very tasty. The cheese and chocolate fondu along with the salad were good. I would go back and only order that but DH has zero interest.

I find no interest in it what so ever...it's chain restaurant fondue.
There are sooooo many restaurants out there that make fabulous fondue and you actually get real sides to dip not just some raw veggies and bread.

I thought I was the only one who didn't like it.
Not my thing- at all.
I want a real meal.

Ugh I know! and to sit there and have to wait to boil one bite size piece of chicken to eat. Gah! The only thing enjoyable is the salad and I'm not going there to have a salad.

Me neither. We went once for an anniversary and we weren't thrilled and it cost a lot of money for cooking your own food lol.
