Talk to me about the Third Trimester
What changes now?
From the first to the second, you expect to feel better, get more energy, etc. So, what is the transition like from 2 to 3?

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
I think everyone has their own experience, personally I have been exhausted all over again! I felt really good in the 2nd trimester, and I am almost 33 weeks now and looking to sleep all the time. I am starting to get uncomfortable and sleeping is not that easy anymore. But again, everyone is different. Hope you feel great!

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
Here are some things I've noticed... I'm about 33 weeks now.
- your belly will fieel tighter and fuller and may even itch so lather on the cocoa butter cream!
- you will feel it's harder to breath 'cus the baby is taking up more room and pressing up against your diaphragm
- your pelvic area is gonna hurt 'cus the pelvic bone is expanding
- you may or may not feel more fatigue 'cus you're carrying that much weight around
- you're gonna have people asking if you want their seat if you use mass transit :D
- your will likely experience more weight gain 'cus the baby is gaining about 1/2 lbs each week
It'll all be worth it 'cus you're so close to meeting your baby for the first time!

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
What they both said!!!! I'm beyond exhausted again...I'm beyond uncomfortable...I've had knock on wood a really uneventful and easy pregnancy up until now, now I'm totally done....I hate feeling exhausted and huge and can't breathe and in pain....

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
I have felt the best in the third trimester. The downside is the breathing part (it gets hard) and the sleeping part (that gets hard too, though I had much more difficulty falling asleep in the 2nd trimester.)
I feel a real sense of calm and serenity in the 3rd trimester. I love it.

All I know is that I'm having a rough time getting out of the car unassisted at this point

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
For my first pregnancy not much changed except I was rounder
I did become more tired again- nothing too crazy though.
Ohhh and pressure, I often checked to make sure there wasnt feet dangling out of my va-jay-jay
I walked the entire inner harbor of MD (6hrs) 3 weeks before giving birth AND went on a mall shopping spree (3 hrs) 2 days before giving birth!
I had a great pregnancy with my first!

i have my seat tilted so far back at this point it looks and feels ridiculous!
3 tri for me is feeling like a sleepless beached whale with a crotch that feels like it has been whacked with a baseball bat...
fun, huh? enjoy!

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
For me the 3rd trimester was the hardest both times around. Now with 3 weeks to go my energy is pretty low, I am really uncomfortable and not sleeping well which makes me really irritable. Aren't you glad you don't live in my house?

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
I felt like I was in the second until week 36-37. Then suddenly I felt huge, uncomfortable, my sleep was disturbed, I couldn't eat as much, and I was "ready to have the baby" which shocked me because all throughout I never wanted my pregnancy to end. I loved it.

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
I had a much better second trimester than third trimester. I'm more uncomfortable and it's harder to get up, especially from bed. I have a bit of pressure and pain in the pelvic/public bone area, especially when I try to get up from sitting or lying down. I get out of breath fairly easily. Simple tasks like putting on clothes/shoes have become challenging. I also get really hot now.
The worst part for me is the swelling. Not everyone experiences this though. I have had a lot of swelling in my feet, ankles and legs since about 28 weeks. None of my shoes fit and it's painful to try to put them on. I had to buy new shoes this weekend in a size bigger.
ETA: I've had difficulty sleeping throughout pregnancy, but I've been getting up in the middle of the night even more during the past few weeks. I wake up a lot now b/c my hands and fingers keep getting numb/tingly. I used to get this once in a while during the 1st and 2nd trimester, but now I get numb fingers several times per night.

Re: Talk to me about the Third Trimester
I felt the best at the beginning of the third tri than I did throughout the whole pregnancy, although I really have loved the whole thing. Once I hit 35w or so I started to get a lot more uncomfortable but its still not unbearable, even at 38w. The pain in my pelvis and who-ha is not fun and simple tasks have become much more difficult, but I don't feel "done" at all being pregnant and I'm really going to miss it.
