Tanning question....
Are we allowed to go tanning.... I am interested in getting just a bit of color on my face - so I would do only the face machine... is this OK?
And I've read about skin discoloration during pregnancy - so that concerns me too.
Has anyone had any experience with tanning?
Just looking to clear up my skin a little bit....and in the past that would sometimes help.
TIA

Re: Tanning question....
The sun or tanning always Helps clear up my Skin.. but im not sure about the tanning i dont see how that would be an Issue if your only doing the face . I would call Dr to Fine out .. I plan on going out in the sun this Summer with some block but i still get color with block anyway LOL

I personally wouldn't expose myself to artificial UV light when pregnant...

Re: Tanning question....
I am not sure. I don't think I would go to a tanning place but I have been out in the sun already almost every weekend. I have not noticed any skin discoloration. They do say you tend to burn more though when you are pregnant

i agree. I just feel liek when you are pregnant the cells in your body due to hormones are multipling like crazy. I feel like artificial UV rays might cause a problem you dont need.

Re: Tanning question....
Please be careful with the sun or the tanning beds. I usually don't burn. I have olive skin and I usually tan all summer long. I got the worst burn of my life a few weekends ago and I was only out in the sun in the morning for about an hour. I burned so badly that I couldn't sleep for two nights and I am still dealing with peeling and uneven skin tone. My OB told me that my skin would be much more sensitive to the sun during pregnancy and now I believe her.

Re: Tanning question....
If I were you I would just hope the weather clears up and sit outside for maybe 30-45mins in the sun. The tanning beds are much more dangerous in my opinion.

Re: Tanning question....
My girlfriend went for the face tanning when she was pregnant & wound up with discoloration on her face for months. I would be very hesitant. It takes a long time to fade.

Re: Tanning question....
I recently did the spray tan for my shower and it came out okay. Not sure if I would do it again just cuz its expensive and it washes off a little bit in the shower.
