"Flip or Flop" stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa portray the chipper, nearly perfect all-American couple on TV but we've learned they're now separated ...after a scary incident involving guns and a feared suicide attempt.
Their ordeal started, at least publicly, in May when deputies responded to "a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun" at the couple's Orange County home. According to law enforcement, a massive presence showed up -- 11 deputies and a helicopter.
Witnesses told cops they saw Tarek grab a gun from his safe, run out the back door and flee down a hiking trail. Shortly after, Christina was seen running out of the house crying and shaking.
Within minutes, the helicopter spotted Tarek on a trail and deputies told him to drop his weapon. Tarek complied and told deputes he had no intention of hurting himself. He said he wanted to "blow off some steam," and only brought the gun for mountain lions and rattlesnakes.
Deputies went back to the house and ended up seizing 5 guns, including an AR-15.
Christina and Tarek tell us they decided to separate while they reevaluate their marriage. As far as the incident goes ... they'll only say it was an "unfortunate misunderstanding."
They add ... they're committed to co-parenting, and ... "will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together."
WOW....that incident happened in May. I'm surprised this is the first I saw it reported.
ETS: I never thought they seemed fake. They just aren't as lovey dovey and playful as Chip & Joanna

For some reason I cannot STAND her.
She treats him like shit, IMO.
Always has to have HER way.
He'll be like- NO we are not buying a front entrance door for $25k because we are going to be WAY over budget if we do.
Next scene, they are buying the door and he is like a whipped little puppy.
He needs to grow a pair of balls or take his out of her purse.
Can't stand them to be honest.
And her lisp gets on my nerves

I can't tolerate the show because it's so scripted and they s*ck at acting.
She looks like the type of chick that can go psycho real quick. She's got crazy in her eyes. I also think she's a little too impressed with herself.

I can't believe it since it sounds domestic violence was a part but then again..I feel like once you do reality TV, nothing is sacred. Next up is Fixxer Upper and I'll cry.

Yep.
He also seems very intense and even though it's scripted I would be surprised if he wasn't like that in real life which could be hard to live with.
I think they also got into hot water over some real estate seminars they put their name on- I think it ended up being a rip off or something like that.
Am surprised that they had so many guns in their house.

LOL I used to love Fixer Upper but it's really the same exact show over and over and the interiors are ALWAYS THE SAME. Sometimes I want to punch both of them in the face.

I just read a Blind Gossip item that clearly is about them. They have serious $$ issues because of spending and make too much money off the show to quit, if they did then they would have to owe even more money out.

Im not surprised.
The way they went about purchasing some of those houses really surprised me.
I think they had too many going at once and didn't make as big of a profit as they expected.
And yeah she certainly seemed to like the more expensive things.
ETS: I read today they both are dating other people already.

Christina "that's a high asking price" as she flashes her arm dripping in diamonds and perfect manicure and fake lashes
Tarek "ok I bought it. We can probably put $20 into it and sell it"
Enter izzy the contractor "no tarek this is gonna be 180 grand provided we don't find any other problems"
Tarek "oh man"
Christina :eye roll:
Izzy "we found mold."
Tarek"sigh. Ok fix it"
Christina "it needs a pool. And an outside kitchen. And new pavers. And an outdoor claw foot tub"
