Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
A few of you recommended these tanks. I tried one at the store today, and they seem to run small, no? I'd normally be a Small/Medium, and found they didn't cover my boobs fully on the side...anyone else experience this? I bought a large, they only had one, so I wanted to order a few more from online.
I forgot to try a white one on...I would think that it would be way too sheer, like you could see some nip! Anyone have the white?
Also, they say hand wash, don't dry. I'd like to try the delicate cycle and hang to dry..anyone wash in the machine?
Thanks! Image Attachment(s):

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
I bought them in both small and medium. The small is definitely pushing it a bit right now... but afterwards, they should be fine. I actually REALLY love them!
I washed them in cold water and dried them on med/low. I didn't have a problem with them shrinking.
No nippage with the white

Did you buy it online or in the store?

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
Thank you! I was very surprised that the medium seemed tight on the boob area (more like when you wear a bra that's too small, how there's boobs hanging out by your armpits, you know?), and I'm not big on top at all, so it was VERY strange. The large seems ok, I mean it may be a little big on me, but I guess that's better than being too tight, right? Since I figured with full on milk production going on, that's when they'd be the biggest
Yeah, I washed the one I had on the delicate cycle, warm-cold, last night, and put it on a drying rack. Seemed to hold up ok.
ETA: Thanks for the report on the white. Guess I'll try one!
Thank you!

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
BTW -- I am wearing them already. I don't find that they give much support - and I wouldn't wear it alone, I wear it under my uber-porno low-cut maternity tops - BUT - they DO come up very high on the chest, just so you know -- and sometimes the actual bra-like part pops out of the neckline - DH is always telling me to adjust, lol!

So your boob gets exposed randomly, because it pops down? Yikes! Great advice too, thanks! I planned on really just wearing these around the house when there are no visitors, if a visitor comes I'd put on a sweatshirt or another tank probably. Normally I hate not wearing a bra, I'm sure I'd be even more self conscious when they're even bigger! The large doesn't give me tons of support, but like I said, the Medium felt like it wasn't big enough

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
I had to get a size up too.
I'm smaller chested so I don't have the issue Kara has - they cover me fine. Even as engorged as I am right now.
I've washed them with everything else for the last few weeks and they've held up well.

Thanks so much! Glad you like them and they've worked for you.
I'm smaller chested too, that's why I was surprised I needed a large!

No no not at all --- just that sometimes the under material kind of shows above the neckline of the tank part - does that make sense??

Me too.
I planned to wear a bra under them, but I feel they are supportive enough to wear without one and it was kind of a pain to unlatch every thing - it all got tangled...lol.

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
my nursing pads show through on the white. Around the house, i will wear tank solo. Outside the house, I wear a bra underneath or my boobs sag horribly.

Re: Target Nursing Tanks- Questions
I bought this too, and I brought it to the hospital with me. I ended up sleeping in it one night. Like everyone else said, it seems to hold up ok in the wash. I never read the care label, I just threw it in with the regualre laundry so its been dried a bunch and has been ok.
The inside shelf part with the boobie cut outs does end up rising about the outer tank part sometimes on me too. I thought I just had a poor fit or something. And I kinda find the straps are set in a bit much, closer to my neck than a regular tank top - if that makes any sense...
