target vent
i hate target! my mil bought olivia a twin aerobed. i went to go return it becuase i wanted to get her the aero toddler which has the sides that come up. my mil cannot find the reciept and thinks she paid cash. i went to target to return it and wont take anything back over 20 dollars. what kinda policy is that? so now im stuck with this friggggen aero twin instead of the toddler one i need. ugh

Yup. Target's return policy stink a$$. That is why I never registered there for my wedding or baby shower!
Part of their policy is nothing can be exchanged w/o a receipt or gift receipt. Stinks!

I HATE TARGET!!!! The only thing I buy in that store is wee-wee pads for my dogs b/c they are the only place that carries it. You either love that store, or hate it.

Buy the one you want and then put the other one in the box. Return the box with the receipt. I know it is dishonest but people do it all the time. I hate stupid return policies!

They will have her address and Driver's liscense number during the return.
I got screwed by someone who did that. I got my camcorder off my wedding registry for my shower. One week before my honeymoon I open the box and it's a huge arse 80's camcorder in there. Luckily it was within my 90 days and I had a gift reciept my bridal party bought it for me and my story was so odd they knew they had to believe me.
Hopefully your MIL used a card they can run her cards and check....
Does Walmart carry it? They take back everything you may want to try then you can get a gift card.

I always use a credit card there just in case. I wish all stores would look up the purchase by your card.

I usually keep my receipts but if you pay by credit card or debit card they can look up the receipt with the card you used and you can return it like that.

Do they sell both beds anywhere else, like Bed Bath and Beyond? Maybe you can exchange it there.
Target's return policy is ridiculous! Plus, I also bought something there only to open it to find it used. That says a lot about their return policies.

i agree. that's why i NEVER buy anything at Target if i don't use my credit card.. if you use a card they can look up what you paid using the card and then give it back to you.

I'd personally start a letter campaign to Targets HQ - And complain to the BBB.
You would be amazed what you can accomplish by doing that.

I didn't know that about Target- that stinks cause I love to shop there.
Circuit city has the same policy- no receipt= no returns/exchanges/store credit.
I'm stuck with a stupid computer game we cant use.

You are allowed two WITHOUT a receipt for less than $20. You can return whatever you want with a reciept

Actually they don't ask for a DL OR an address if you return WITH a receipt. Only without.
