I haven't been there yet, but you can check out their menu online. It's owned by one of the former owners of Toast in Pt. Jeff. http://tastesayville.com/menu.html

I was going to do a search for you - cause I knew it was discussed, but I noticed if you look at the related posts (under your post) you will see a couple of reviews on it.

I love their fondue! Casual place. I wish DH and I would go here more often.

Re: TASTE in Sayville...
I went there for breakfast one Sunday ( I think it was shortly after they opened). Food was GREAT!!! But the service was horrible. We waited for 45 minutes for a table (when half the place was empty) and then another half hour before a waiter came over.

Re: TASTE in Sayville...
I've eaten there so many times. The filet minon is AMAZING! The lobster fettachini is to die for! Wines good, atmostphere is great. It's casual. They have a fireplace you can sit at a table infront of. It's cozy cute with great food.
P.S. I've also tried every one of the deserts and soooooo good! (Deep fried twinkie!!) No complaints of anything on the menu!

The food is really good but the menu is limited. I like the fish taco's and the ahi tuna.

Re: TASTE in Sayville...
I really like it... and I have to say I think it has improved in my more recent visits. The owners are awesome and the food is wonderful. The menu IS small - but I actually prefer that because it indicates (to me) that they do a few things REALLY well and don't bother dabbling in areas that they probably shouldn't!
My most recent go with the mushroom truffle pizza was a hit. Previously I found it a bit salty - but this time it was on point. But if you don't like truffles - stay away because it is pungent. My kids love the 'regular pizza' and the sliders. The wings aren't typical - so if you have a craving for hot wings - skip them here. The calamari is tender, sweet and crisp - but I don't love the remoulade that comes with it. The short ribs are fantastic and I am a big fan of the ahi tuna. I still don't love the french cut chicken - I prefer my chicken a little more 'simple'. It's not BAD.. but I probably wouldn't waste my time on the pasta with sausage - I find it to be the weakest entree and very bland. The marinated NY strip is my favorite thing on the menu. I don't think they are doing lunch anymore - but my friends and I always used to order a mac and cheese to share. It is amazing - creamy Gruyere cheese sauce and crispy pancetta with a panko crust... I have not yet been unhappy with their breakfasts - but the regular stuffed french toast with strawberries and cream cheese is my favorite - absolutely SINFUL. My kids love the banana and nutella stuffed french toast.
It's a good place for a romantic meal, a Sunday family brunch or an evening out with the kids (sunday night kids eat free). But the best time is when I go with a group of girls for a couple of bottles of wine and some fondue! We start with a cheese fondue to share - and finish with their ridiculously good (and huge) chocolate fondue.
It's worth the trip.
