Tattoo Question!!!!!

Can you tell me how much approx. I would be looking to spend for this kind of design? The size is approx. 3 inches in height 2/12 inches in width. I like all the colors and the detail.

Please also recommend where I should go and specific tattoo artist to use.

I couldn't give you a price. I got mine in 99 and paid 80.00 I knew the artist and he made it bigger for me.

Probably around $200, it's a lot of color. I liked Living Colour in Bayshore - they did my ankle and did an awesome job. I brought in my own artwork and she did it exactly right.

beautiful pic- I'm not a good judge of cost - I had mine done upstate and paid $60. (I thnk i have a pic in my album)

I'd say....$200 or so? maybe?

eta: I know several people that used Lotus in Sayville and were VERY happy.

I really depends on the artist...some are more than others. I would guess around $200-250 just by eyeballing.


Where are you located. I can reccomend some good places?

I live on the north shore Huntington/Northport/East Northport area. I'll go anywhere that will do a great job. Some people told me about Tattoo Lous on Jericho TPK in Huntington ever hear of them?

Yea I figured between $200-300 someone at my work said $500 I was like holy ****! I knew he didn't know what he was talking about.

I'm really excited about getting it done this will be my first.

I went to Tattoo Lou's in Babylon and the guy who did mine was "Dragon Jay" - don't know if he's still there this was 5 yrs ago - but he did an awesome job freehand on me and DH.

I would agree with around $200. Mine is about that high but not that wide, and it doesn't have that much color, and it was $135 at Peter Tat2.

lou's is pretty good, I have several done by them but I also know that Lotus ia GREAT. They are in Sayville and my artist is Dave at Murder Ink in College Point Queens.

The price will depend on the tattoo artist. I think it is more important to find an artist you like first, then try to determine a price. I love Surge & Tom at Tattoo Frenzy in Lindenhurst. They have done a wide variety of work for me & my friends & I have found them to be very artistic & prolific in a bunch of different styles.

That's the thing I have no idea who I should go to. No one I know has any. I really hate walking into a place not knowing anything about this. The most important thing is finding a great artist.

For that style of piece I would recommend Tom at Tattoo Frenzy, Mike R at Davinci in Wantagh, or Civ if he is still back at Lotus in Sayvile (I heard he might be back but I am not 100% sure that he is still there).

the price will vary from artist to artist. i wouldnt settle for the cheapest price either because quality is more important. im going to GUESS youre looking to spend about $250 for that before tip.

as for shops, im not too good with LI shops, im better with ones in the city but ive heard amazing things about Lotus... specifically Civ. he did my friends sleeve which is truly amazing.
also, keep in mind some of the really great artists will have waiting lists.

im pretty sure he is but with a long waiting list. my friend just finished her sleeve with him and he was there... but then again you never know.

Tom, Surge or Mike at Tattoo Frenzy in Lindenhurst. They are all excellent! It is a very clean place as well. I got my first tattoo at Tattoo Lou's in Babylon, by Tom who now owns Tattoo Frenzy.
I waould say it would cost around $200.
