taxes & fees for buying a new car?
If you dont mind sharing and if you know, what was the break down of your taxes and fees for buying a new car?
I know the legit fees are:
doc fees tax title fee license
how much should each of those be? average...
and remind me again... it's not worth it to get the extended warranty?

Most experts say not to get the extended warranty. We actually had it on both of our cars and never used either one.
I don't know the answers to a lot of your questions, but I do know that if you trade in a car, you will only pay sales tax on the difference in price - i.e. new car price - trade in value.

we got the extended warranty for as long as we got a loan for. You don't want a 5 year warranty and a 6 year loan. DH feels that you don't want to have to pay for repairs while you are still paying for the car.

If he plans to keep the car for a long time then get the e - I believe though u can always get the extended warranty at a later date - not thru the dealership but thru a reliable company like carchex. Im not positive on that
