I have a neighbor with a 48k tax bill. It used to be around 56k, but they grieved their taxes. 
How big is their house and how much property do they have? My guess is it not you average three to four bedroom house in 1/4 of an acre of land.
We're acre zoned. I believe their home is 8000 sqft. A 5000sqft home is 38k.
Our home is around 1800sqft and we're just under 19k.
Taxes on new builds is just ridiculous. They're building new homes (2000-3000 sqft) on 1/4 acre lots and their taxes are 25k.
